I grew up in Venice, Florida, not exactly the wave capital of the world but one thing is for sure the dedication to surf for those core locals is strong.This shot was taken during a fall Hurricane sweeping north along the Gulf of Mexico.Those south swells put some meaty waves aimed square at Venice Inlet.This is the north side of the jetty, considered Nokomis.
